the opening shot of the new Indiana Jones flick--a George Lucas joke about expectations. Funny, but a very slim pomo joke. It's what amounted (heh) to an excuse. The first twenty minutes of Crystal Skull was a great atomic age comic book. The rest of the movie made it seem like The Cold War never happened.
